TOMMYKNOCKERS BEAT CLUB – THE RIP-EDITION, VOLUME 3|
Unapproved but unforgotten corpora delicti from the catacombs
So here’s the final volume of my Tommyknockers-RIP-edition. To be honest with you, I feel quite disappointed. Something more that 200 downloads per volume ain’t a bad rate for this little site here, but frankly speaking I did expect a little bit more than just two comments by Detlef from Lohmar and Joe from Kiel. Even some harsh remarks would have been ok since I’m aware all my best efforts could never reach the same high of the original series. Neither Werner’s closest buddies showed any reaction although I hoped they would post this set as an "in memoriam"- follow-up on Werner’s own Roots & Traces / Spurensicherung- blog (at least, his friend Pätti sent me some photos of the clearly camera-shy Pope). Anyway, I hope the ones who downloaded did appreciate, and for me it was the best way to honor Werner and to keep our friendship alive. So enjoy the show, mein Lieber , and have a nice cold beer on me (I hope they’ll serve your favorite brand up there…)

thanks for your lines psychedelic48, actually a huge loss for all fans of rare examples of the best music there ever was....I've tried to save what I could from Lolly's archive and I will keep the Tomyknockers tag for next selections of UK-Beat.

Fantastic!!! thanks a lot!
I'm happy you liked it Claudio, even just a few words of appreciation motivate me to go on with this site.
Have a great day and best greetings to the home of the Brazilian Bitles and Zé do Caixão (I'm a big fan)!
Thanks for this Michael. I don't know Werner, nor did I ever discover his blog, but I'm glad that there are people like you to keep alive the torch that he clearly carried. I always appreciate your mixes, and am sorry that I don't always find the time to at least say thank you - a much smaller amount of time than you spend putting these fantastic compilations together.
So thank you.
don't worry my friend, I know you are part of "my audiance" even without commenting every single new selection. I'm glad you liked this set too. Be sure not to miss the original Tommyknockers on the Roots & Traces / Spurensicherung- blog.

Hi Michael. I'm a big fan of the original Tommyknockers series and was sorry to hear of Werner's death. I've only just discovered your RIP volumes and think this was a great gesture of respect on your part. Thank you so much for doing this. I look forward to hearing the music!
thank you Sid, I hope you'll dig my selection.
Best regards from Italy!

Hallo Michael !

Thanks for these three compilations, good to see you're keeping up the flame.
Don't worry about the lack of comments, the latest post on my blog was DL over 300 times in less than a week and got just one elusive "thank u".
Ungrateful world, we're living in!
thanks for your lines my friend, I'm really happy you appreciate. btw, you're absolutely right with your comments on scarse comments, it's quality not quantity that counts so I won't care too much (at any rate, I'd like to visit your site...maybe I can comment your posts with a most essential "thx", blackberry-style...
. aha! great eclectic site! Even if the music, frankly, is not my cup of tea; I somtimes go visit it as it's still most interesting, scarse artyfacts.... (thx)!

The TommyKnockers series of comps is a special one in the remembrance of 60's music. I've loved the series from the beginning. The Lolly Pope will never be forgotten as long as I walk this earth. Thanks for continuing his legacy with these 3 volumes--very cool.
thanks a lot my friend, I was really worried to "step in the shoes" of the Lolly Pope and your words actually give me a lot of comfort.. he won't be forgotten!

don't be disappointed because of the few comments!
now it's three: fine stuff!
thanks for your endorsement my friend, feels good! Actually, I don't expect heaps of comments (I wouldn't even have the time to reply to all) but some lines of appreciation do keep this site alive. Good news: I think I've collected enough tracks for another Tommyknocker-set.. stand by!
